Commissioning a unique piece of art not only enriches your environment, it helps you to capture precious memories of loved ones, special places, and meaningful experiences. It would be my privilege to create something beautiful, that is entirely one-of-a-kind, just for you.
How does commissioning work?
- Consultation: Chat in person or by phone/Zoom call to discuss your vision
- Check-ins: If you wish to see your painting as it progresses, I am happy to provide updates
- Deposit: A 50% deposit in advance is required for all commissioned artwork
What Materials do you use?
- I work in acrylic, oils and watercolour. Unless otherwise requested, for acrylic and oil paintings, I generally work on gallery-wrap canvases (see button above for description). The sides of the canvas are painted and are therefore ready to hang without a frame if you wish.
- I use 100% cotton (cold or hot pressed) Arches paper for watercolour paintings.
- What if I prefer my art to be framed? You can have the painting framed by a professional framer. If I have it framed for you, there will be an additional cost.
- Does artwork fade over time? I use high-quality varnish on all completed oil and acrylic paintings to prevent damage from rays and colour fading.
